So I haven't seen the Community finale yet, but I'm really disappointed that it wasn't any better than the spoilers made it sound, and with a lot of added gender/transfail to go along with it. Not cool, show. >:( I kind of want to write fixit fic but I probably would have to, you know, watch the ep before that could happen. Hobviously I should just finish the Jeff/Shirley pretending-to-be-a-couple. Or I had this other idea of a Shirley-Britta-Annie fic where they go to the mall together and witness a robbery and I don't know if it would be a romance, but something silly like that could happen and they would all declare their love for each other. Basically, long-winded Community fic with a stupid plot and a ~Heartwarming Ending~ has unexpectedly become my favorite thing to write, go figure. :D

Speaking of which, I stole this meme from [personal profile] the_wanlorn because it's look really fun:

Also, I went to see Iron Man 2 (which was fun but dumb and politically really gross), and the ATLA trailer made me so mad. I'm thinking maybe we should give M. Night the Tom Servo treatment. You know, go back in time and find M. Night before he gets inspired to make his crappy movie, and then take care of him. You know, kick him in the shins! On the bright side, the trailer inspired me to get this sweet new icon, so apparently Aryan!ATLA is good for something after all.

OK, NOW I AM TRUFAX GOING TO BED. Good night, circle/flist, I shall probably rant some more about Community in the morning. :D:

Do tell about Iron Man 2? I'm not surprised that it was politically gross, the last one was really fucking bad and very few people saw fit to mention it.

Kinda like how the only lady of colour with a speaking role in TDK turned out to be evil and then dead, no-one mentioned that either as far as I remember in the year or so between release date and me watching it >:|

Um, somebody else has probably done a better analysis, but basically it was a typically Republican superhero movie, as you'd expect. There was some shit about Tony bragging he's "privatized world peace" (which is a stupid idea to begin with. A bit like the idea in TDK that the public has to never learn the truth about Harvey Dent ~for their own good~ or some shit. Typical propaganda shit, basically. That said, I did like it just for ScarJo and Don Cheadle and Gwyneth.

And yeah, SO MUCH FAIL w/r/t ATLA the movie. My only hope is that it gets people into the less failtastic TV show.

And as if that wasn't enough, I see from the trailers onna telly that a) Michael Douglas is back doing movies; b) they've done a movie version of "Prince of Persia". With a brownface Jake Gyllenhaal in the title role, a particularly bizarre bit of racebending.
